Duck noodle soup with bamboo shoots (Bún măng vịt) led the Vietnamese entries and ranked 18th globally. The traditional soup is made with duck and dried bamboo shoots as the main ingredients. The dish is typically garnished with sliced green onions and coriander.

Duck porridge (Cháo vịt) which was placed the 35th in the world also made the Top 50. The dish is made with cooked or steamed pieces of duck meat as the main ingredient. This hot rice porridge is especially popular on colder days of the year. It's often served with banh trang, sesame seed-topped rice crackers and a dipping sauce on the side.

The international cuisine magazine listed raw duck blood pudding (Tiết canh vịt) which took the 41st place. This version is made with raw duck blood, ground boiled duck neck, boiled duck offal, fish sauce, and various spices and herbs (basil, chili, lemon leaves). The combination is boiled and steamed until done and bright red in color.

Rounding off the list of TasteAtlas’s Top 5 duck dishes were Peking duck of China, magret de canard and duck confit of France, Fesenjān of Iran and Fried duck of Indonesia.
