Vietnam outplays Indonesia 3-1 in SEA Games 33 women’s futsal opener

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s women’s futsal team made a strong start to their SEA Games 33 campaign on December 12 with a 3-1 victory over Indonesia, showcasing clear dominance in the second half.

The opening period was evenly matched, with both sides pressing aggressively and creating dangerous chances. Indonesia attempted more shots, but goalkeeper Hai Yen produced at least three outstanding saves to keep the game level heading into halftime.

Vietnam took full control after the break. In the 24th minute, Thuy Trang delivered a brilliant solo effort, dribbling from midfield past three Indonesian players before finishing into an empty net to break the deadlock.

Five minutes later, Vietnam doubled the lead after being awarded a penalty for a foul inside the box. Thanh Ngan converted with a confident strike to make it 2-0.

With three minutes left on the clock, Phuong Anh added Vietnam’s third, racing forward and firing a precise shot to put the game out of reach. Indonesia pulled one back through Quisepina late on, but it was merely a consolation.

Vietnam sealed a 3-1 win, securing their first three points and marking an ideal start to their SEA Games 33 journey.
